Automotive Skills Queensland was founded for several reasons but at the core of all of these founding principles is the development of highly skilled professionals through training.
Training is available in a range of methods and formats and ranges from on-the-job through to short courses to further develop knowledge or skills in a particular area.
To assist with the development of staff for the automotive industry, Automotive Skills Queensland has created this handy section for trainers and training providers which contains a range of helpful resources, including reports, fact sheets and training toolkits.
ASQ has taken the initiative to develop and deliver a Collision Repair Mentoring Scheme for the Queensland industry. This is the only one of its kind in Australia. The first intake occurred in 2010 and was successfully received. This mentoring scheme is aimed at apprentice attraction
and retention, workforce development and Collision Repair Industry sustainability.
The National TAFE Automotive Network is a national network to support trainers in Australia’s public automotive TAFE departments.
